What is Sustainability?
Sustainability means to equally consider environmental aspects, social and economic aspects. Thus, future-oriented management means: We have to leave our children and grandchildren an intact ecological, social and economic system. The one cannot be achieved without the other!
How does VEIT protect the environment?
- Reduce your energy cost by up to 40 per cent with our VEIT eMotion series.
- Ever since the 1980s, we have been pioneers in developing and manufacturing energy-efficient ironing systems. We continually set trends with our VEIT cold ironing technology with energy consumption reduced by up to 60 per cent as against heated ironing tables.

In an ongoing dialogue with our customers, we optimize our machines for you. Our focus is on environmentally-friendly products and procedures. Now and in the future.
Ecology:
We continually improve our products for you. We reduce the consumption of energy and all other resources that are needed for manufacturing or using our machinery.
The photovoltaic array on the roof of our plant in Landsberg and an in-house CHP plant help us to sustainably produce energy. We are thus lowering our annual CO2 output by more than four hundred tons.

Social affairs:
We have refrained from sending greeting cards for Christmas, and send out e-cards instead. The money saved is donaten to Opportunity International, a charity organisation, to support small entrepreneurs and their families in Asia. Through micro-loans and appropriate training sessions, they have the opportunity to make their way out of poverty and to shape their own future.
The proceeds from our company Christmas raffle are donated either to an orphanage in Rumania, or to a residential home for the disabled in Landsberg. (http://landsberg.arche-deutschland.de/)
