Veit GmbH received the HUGO BOSS award „Supplier of the Year 2008“ – highly renowned in the textiles industry – in Izmir at the end of October. At the festive event with 300 invited guests, General Manager Guenter Veit and the company’s Turkish representative Cahit Tas gladly accepted the trophy.

 The VEIT Group is a medium-sized company with about 500 employees and has been the market leader in ironing, finishing and fusing technologies for more than 50 years. The three group companies VEIT GmbH (Landsberg), BRISAY Maschinen GmbH (Grossostheim-Ringheim) and Kannegiesser Garment & Textile Technologies GmbH & Co (Vlotho) are specialists in their fields with one common goal: to offer their customers innovative solutions, powerful modern machines and excellent service. To fulfil this mission, the VEIT Group consists of 19 subsidiaries and more than 80 representative offices all over the world. In addition to garment industry, products for energy supply and specialist services complete the Group’s range of products.

The „Supplier of the Year“ award takes the following criteria into account: price, quality, communication, creativity, flexibility, service, adherence to deadlines and openness to new ideas.

After a second rank last year, VEIT this year managed to beat 78 competitors and excel as best supplier.

A staff of over 3,000 produces high-quality ladies’ and men’s wear at the HUGO BOSS production plant in Izmir. „The continued dialogue between HUGO BOSS, Izmir and the VEIT-team has had a very positive impact on the technologically challenging co-operation of both companies“, says VEIT’s General Manager Guenter Veit.
